French coach sticks with same squad

Monday 15 March 2010

Rugby union: France coach Marc Lievremont has named an unchanged squad for the Six Nations game against England on Saturday.

Lievremont will take the same 23 men who led Les Bleus to a 46-20 win over Italy on Sunday, with Dimitri Yachvili, who replaced the injured Frederic Michalak in that squad, retained.

The coach said: "You're never sure of anything, but you know what you think. The players did well against Wales and Italy.

"We opted for continuity. This group is equipped to beat the English. I think the players are fresh and fit."

France top the Six Nations table by two points from Ireland. They will be looking to achieve the Grand Slam against England.
