The funeral service of former Labour leader Michael Foot was held in London on Monday.
A host of friends and senior politicians, including Michael Meacher and Melvyn Bragg, attended the event at Golders Green crematorium which saw the coffin adorned with a Plymouth Argyle football scarf.
Mr Foot, who died earlier this month aged 96, was the former MP for Ebbw Vale.
He was described as "a real giant" by First Minister and Labour leader in Wales Carwyn Jones and "hugely loved" by former first minister Rhodri Morgan.
His death was also described as "a loss to the political culture of Wales" by Plaid Cymru leader Ieuan Wyn Jones.
Mr Foot, who succeeded Nye Bevan in 1960 in the Ebbw Vale constituency, was elected Labour leader in 1980, succeeding Cardiff MP Jim Callaghan, but he stood down as leader after losing the 1983 election to Margaret Thatcher.
