P.D. Crofts - Moments Before The Crash

Bent can make Hull face the music

Friday 23 April 2010

Football betting: Apparently Iain Dowie is not a big fan of iPods - he has claimed that "big earphones" are affecting his side's focus on their relegation fight.

Nothing to do with the lack of quality in the squad then Iain?

Hull players will need to download such tunes as I Need a Miracle by Bonnie Tyler, or Die Another Day by Madonna ahead of their must win-match against in form Sunderland. Best to stay clear of Down by Jay Sean though.

Sunderland have regained their form in the last six games and are a side full of confidence with nothing to lose, while the KC Stadium will be filled with tension.

The visitors are 11/5 (Skybet.com) to win the game and represent great value. Usually when Sunderland win Darren Bent scores, so the 5/1 (Betfred.com) for both to occur looks a fantastic way to add some bulk to the outright win price.

Elsewhere, there looks to be some nailed on draws involving sides that have nothing to play for.

Doncaster v Scunthorpe (12/5 Skybet.com), Barnsley v QPR (12/5 Ladbrokes.com) and Brighton v Bristol Rovers (12/5 Paddypower.com) all have the look of an end of season snooze fest.
