Pilots union reps have said they will hold new talks with Virgin Atlantic in a bid to avert industrial action at the firm.
The British Airline Pilots Association (Balpa) said a meeting with the company's management would be held on September 6 to try to resolve a row over hours.
Talks to avoid confrontation were adjourned last week without agreement.
The dispute is over the way the company was interpreting an agreement on the minimum number of rostered days off.
Balpa has accused management of breaching an agreement by denying the pilots their entitlement to a minimum 120 rostered days off, which are the equivalent of an office worker's weekends and bank holidays but without the same predictability.
Balpa general secretary Jim McAuslan said: "We call on the company to pick up our offer of talks and to find a way through."
