ENO's production of La Boheme is a triumph,
Remember Mari Wilson - beehive, 1980s, blonde?
Well, she's back and even though she's lost the beehive she hasn't lost her exquisite, elegant voice.
Her latest album is her first album of covers.
Numbers getting the Wilson treatment include Don't Get Me Wrong, Be My Baby - a highlight - and I Only Want To Be With You.
Unfortunately a few of the tracks don't come close to the originals.
Don't Get Me Wrong wouldn't sound out of place playing in a tacky, seaside bar.
But nevertheless this is an inoffensive album of sweet tracks which, while easily forgettable, are pleasing on the ear.
Yet far from relaunching her career, it's more than likely to be something which only Wilson's die-hard fans would appreciate.
