Friday 23 November 2012

Formula One: Lewis Hamilton came out fastest in practice for Sunday's season-ending Brazilian Grand Prix.

Hamilton, going into his final race for McLaren, led by just 0.009 seconds in a four-driver scrap involving team-mate Jenson Button and Red Bull's Sebastian Vettel and Mark Webber in first practice today.

Vettel was a little further adrift in second practice, falling 0.274 seconds behind Hamilton with Webber third, half a second off the pace.

He had the Ferraris of Felipe Massa and Fernando Alonso in close attendance as they finished 0.527secs and 0.556secs adrift.

Vettel leads Alonso by 13 points in the drivers' championship going into Sunday's big finale, with heavy rain forecast at Interlagos.
