AEROSPACE group Rolls-Royce said yesterday that it has struck a deal with Midlands-based firm the Goodrich Corporation, to make engines for Boeing's new Dreamliner jet.
Rolls-Royce said that the US-based corporation, which has engine control systems operations in Birmingham, will become a partner on its Trent 1000 engine project.
Goodrich's British engine control systems business unit has two sites at Hall Green employing about 1,500 people.
