About the poet
Manchester poet Dave Puller left school at the age of 15 and had a succession of jobs including factory worker, junior soldier, stock exchange clerk, window cleaner, salesman and teacher.
He is now a professional poet, writer and performer. This poem comes from the collection Ouch, published by Sorted Press.
