The Air I Breathe (15).

THIS film is based on an Asian proverb that breaks life down into four key emotions - happiness, sorrow, pleasure and love.

There are four stories, each focusing on a character representing one of these emotions, but not in the conventional way, played by Forest Whitaker, Sarah Michelle Gellar, Brendan Fraser and Kevin Bacon respectively.

Co-written and directed by Jieho Lee, it is an interesting premise which would have worked better if the vignettes had been set somewhere in Asia rather than the US. Instead, they seem pretentious and irrelevant and the finale certainly isn't worth waiting for.
