Scottish Premier League: CELTIC restored their four-point lead over Rangers at the top of the league on Sunday with a comfortable win over Hibernian.

Captain Stephen McManus headed Gordon Strachan's men in front on 36 minutes and Australian forward Scott McDonald nodded home the second three minutes from time.

Hibs endured a torrid day at the office, seeing their UEFA Cup hopes die, as well as having both Martin Canning and Ian Murray sent off.

Celtic must wait and watch Rangers' two games in hand before both sides play their final league fixtures on 22 May.

Rangers play Zenit St Petersburg in the UEFA Cup final on Wednesday and then have league trips to Motherwell and St Mirren. Celtic face Dundee United on May 22.
