No point sticking with Labour

(Wednesday 14 May 2008)

I WAS bemused by the heading for Jeremy Corbyn's column (M Star May 6), "Time to change direction."

While most readers of the Star will have a great respect for Jeremy Corbyn, it is not a change of direction that new Labour needs. It is for real socialists to realise that the game is up, that new Labour won't be won back for the sort of policies that the Campaign Group still espouses.

Don't wait for a change of direction, it ain't coming. It's time to realise this and leave new Labour to its friends in big business and join with a real workers party, the Socialist Labour Party.

A warm and fraternal welcome awaits.
