Twice Over can dominate Dante at York
HOUSEMAN eyes Thursday's top racecards.
THE decision to forego a crack at the 2000 Guineas with Twice Over mystified many after his win in the Crave, but another victory in the 2.40 Dante Stakes would go some way to justifying the call.
Henry Cecil's youngster impressed in winning two races as a juvenile and he stepped up considerably on that form when rallying gamely to deny Raven's Pass on his seasonal reappearance.
He should be afforded a good deal of respect on that alone, but there is reason to be hopeful that the son of Observatory can find even further improvement now that he returns to 10 furlongs.
As ever, York's traditionally informative Group Two feature will take plenty of winning, but Twice Over has ticks in all the right boxes and he needs to keep his unblemished record intact if quotes around the 3-1 mark for the Derby are anywhere near accurate.
Although Centennial looked smart earlier this term, Cecil's charge is a confident choice to keep the Epsom dream alive with another win.
