GEORGE Anthony (M Star May 11) appears to contradict my criticism of the personalisation of Livingstone's anti-Boris campaign by saying that the right started it, but this confirms my more basic point, that we must not let reaction determine the agenda for us.
Again, the question of whether Johnson is or is not an idiot is not the issue. I think that he is a typical upper-class buffoon, but the point that I made was that the powers behind him are certainly no fools.
We need to keep our wits about us if we are to further the cause for which we have worked all our lives.
