A campaigner for fathers' rights has begun a hunger strike on the Prime Minister's doorstep.
Fathers 4 Justice (F4J) founder Matt O'Connor is undertaking the protest outside the Oxfordshire home of David Cameron and could be there for "weeks" a F4J spokeswoman revealed yesterday.
Mr O'Connor from Andover in Hampshire is demanding that Mr Cameron honour pre-election pledges made to the organisation about ensuring that grandparents have a right to see their grandchildren and for a legal assumption of shared parenting.
He is also calling upon Mr Cameron, a father of three, to retract comments he made to a newspaper describing some dads as "runaways."
Mr O'Connor said he wants the Prime Minister to withdraw the comments that "demonise" fathers.
"The idea is to carry on for as long as I can - even if I am hospitalised," he said.
Mr O'Connor, who is supported by a team of medics, said his only intake will be water and some lemon juice.
