They couldn't give a hoot about inequality - they just want an excuse to attack Muslims and black people.
If the EDL really were motivated by issues like poor housing and low wages, we'd expect to see stronger EDL support in more deprived working-class areas.
In fact the opposite is the case.
As anyone passing a pub when the EDL are in town will tell you - they're not short of a bob or two.
I agree that mainstream political parties have let down the working class and that the left should fight against cuts and for better housing, jobs and wages. But let's be clear: the EDL are our enemies in this fight, not our allies.
