Morning Star staff said a big thank you to readers and supporters after the mammoth conference.
While top-notch speakers gave the packed audience headline views, grass-roots supporters were able to chip in to the debate at a series of workshops - and they also dipped into their pockets to help the Star's Fighting Fund.
Around 40 readers and supporters' groups backed the successful event and conference organiser Graham Stevenson said it "greatly exceeded our expectations."
He added: "There were people from all over the country and there was a great deal of interest from many local groups.
"Many want to do their own events so we're writing a report and communicating with them. With a touch of a rally about it as well, this hasn't been done for 40 years."
Three or four groups were the main drivers but almost every group had an input.
The Star's popular Fund organiser Ivan Beavis got a big hand when he launched a whip-round from the stage - and raised an incredible £2,285.22.
George Tapp suffered horrific injuries when he was run down last week at a demo against blacklisting in construction. He tells the Star why he's as determined as ever to carry on struggling for justice
