Hull tight-lipped on Barmby suspension

Football: Hull sacked their head of football operations Adam Pearson today but owners Assem and Ehab Allam refused to confirm whether manager Nick Barmby has been suspended.

The Allams would not respond to reports that Barmby had been suspended for comments about the club's financial situation.

They said the club's former chairman Pearson had been fired "without notice and without compensation" but "we cannot comment on the manager's position at the present time."
