Tiniest nation to get skate team

Tuesday 01 May 2012

Roller Derby: The "micronation" of Sealand announced today that it is setting up an all-female roller derby team.

Sealand, a World War II fort in the North Sea, has no official recognition as the world's smallest nation. Its population is less than 30 but it will recruit skaters from Wales.

"We'll travel from town to town, playing the local teams," said Sealand royal commissioner Adam Roush. "No home games."
