Morrell says Dragons set for Luton

Wednesday 02 May 2012

Wrexham manager Andy Morrell said today that missing out on automatic promotion will not affect his players as they prepare for the first leg of their Conference Premier play-off semi-final against Luton Town tomorrow night.

Despite a huge 98 points, the Dragons were pipped to the title by cash-drenched Fleetwood Town.

As Morrell's side heads to the Hatters he said: "It's going to be tough, because it's a bit of a lottery going in the play-offs, but we'll be at it and we'll be trying our hardest to get through to Wembley."

Wrexham lost out to Luton Town in last season's play-offs.

And Hatters centre-half Janos Kovacs told Luton Today that most of the squad have experienced the highs and lows of play-off football and he is certain that will give them the edge against Wrexham.
