Loch Ness Monster ordered out of Wisconsin

Friday 04 May 2012

Found - the Loch Ness monster.

It turns out Nessie wasn't languishing in a Scottish lake at all. Here she is in the Chippewa River in Eau Claire, Wisconsin.

But she won't be able to make her home here for long - the Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources has deemed the sculpture is a illegal obstruction to the waterway and want it removed.

The sculptor, known as the Phoenix, emailed the local paper to say he'd voluntarily move the beast in the next 10 days. He warned it won't be his last guerilla public art installation - but he'll check the law first next time.
