Wenger demands less Van Persie reliance

Monday 07 May 2012

FOOTBALL: Arsene Wenger has called on his Arsenal side to stop relying on Robin van Persie to score their goals.

The Gunners' 3-3 draw with Norwich left the Frenchman annoyed as the Gunners dropped points in their bid to finish third.

"When you look at the chances we created, it is absolutely unbelievable that we scored only three goals," said the Arsenal boss.

"Again we are punished because Robin had to score and many times we do not get enough goals from elsewhere."
