Jagielka out to impress Hodgson

Tuesday 08 May 2012

FOOTBALL: Everton defender Phil Jagielka said on Tuesday that he is keen to impress England manager Roy Hodgson ahead of this summer's European Championships.

The 29-year-old has shown no ill-effects from the January knee injury which sidelined him for two months.

The Everton man said: "Hopefully I've played well enough in the last few weeks to at least be in with a shout."
