India: Hundreds of passengers were left stranded today after Air India bosses cancelled around 20 international flights due to a strike by pilots.
Aviation Minister Ajit Singh said today that the government would negotiate with the pilots union only after the pilots return to work.
At least 300 Air India pilots who say that they have not been paid since December have taken mass sick leave for the past four days.
Norway: The trial of right-wing extremist Anders Behring Breivik was briefly interrupted today when the brother of one of his 77 victims hurled a shoe at the confessed mass killer.
He yelled: "Go to hell," before being escorted from the courtroom.
