Manchester United stars sit out Galatasaray trip

Football: Paul Scholes and Robin van Persie are among the Manchester United big guns who will miss tomorrow night's Champions League encounter with Galatasaray.

Boss Alex Ferguson has also left Wayne Rooney, Rio Ferdinand, Patrice Evra and Ryan Giggs off the plane to Turkey with qualification assured.

Michael Carrick, Darren Fletcher and strikers Danny Welbeck and Javier Hernandez could feature alongside youngsters such as Nick Powell, Josh King, Davide Petrucci, Tom Thorpe and Ryan Tunnicliffe.

Also tomorrow Chelsea travel to Juventus seeking a point which would all but ensure qualification.
