Minister: we can't ban horse meat

EmailEnvironmental Secretary Owen Paterson claimed today that the government could only ban imported meat under EU rules if it poses a health risk.
He made the comments amid the ongoing horse meat scandal.
GMB warned today that hospitals, schools and meals-on-wheels services should check that they had not served dodgy processed meat, labelled as beef but containing horse.
The horsemeat discovered so far does not pose a health risk to humans.
