More than 3,000 Tunisians protested on Saturday over the slow pace of an official probe into the death of an opposition figure.
Tunisia was thrown into political turmoil when Chokri Belaid was assassinated outside his home earlier this month, with many accusing ruling Islamist party Ennahda of being behind the killing. Some analysts claim the murder was a plot to discredit Ennahda.
Security services reportedly arrested a number of suspects over the leftist leaders' assassination on Thursday.
The death sparked violent demonstrations across Tunisia.
