POLICE in the US city of Baltimore were investigating a suspected attempt to ambush officers yesterday that left the suspect dead.
Baltimore police spokesman TJ Smith said four plainclothes officers were driving near a block of flats at 9.30pm on Thursday when they heard gunshots.
