Ousted Saleh’s troops storm Aden airport

Forces loyal to former president Ali Abdullah Saleh stormed the internatinal airport in Aden yesterday, triggering a gunfight that lasted for hours.

The gunmen, a unit of police commandos, battled militias loyal to President Abed Rabbo Mansour Hadi, who is based in Aden as the capital Sanna has fallen to Shi’ite Houthi rebels.

Three attackers were killed and 10 captured. There was no confirmation of government casualties.
