Carr puts Edinburgh into League Two

A penalty from Dougie Carr ensured that Edinburgh City won 1-0 at East Stirling, sealed a 2-1 aggregate victory and made history by becoming the first club to win promotion to the Scottish League Two through the pyramid system.
The Meadowbank Stadium based club qualified for the promotion play-off after retaining the Lowland League title and beating Highland champions Cove Rangers over two legs. East Stirling had been members of the Scottish League for 61 years.
