100,000-strong anti-Netanyahu protest in Tel Aviv includes ‘anti-genocide bloc’ calling out war crimes
People take part in a protest demanding the immediate release of hostages held by Hamas in the Gaza Strip, in Tel Aviv, Israel, March 22, 2025

OVER 100,000 protested in Tel Aviv on Saturday against Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, condemning his resumed war on Gaza and demanding a deal to bring the remaining hostages home.

The demo also called for the government to reverse the sacking of security agency Shin Bet chief Ronen Bar. Mr Netanyahu had announced he would depart on April 10, though the dismissal was frozen by the Supreme Court on Friday.

Many waved Israeli flags and focused their criticism on Mr Netanyahu, accusing him of undermining the country’s political institutions and not caring whether the hostages still held by Hamas nearly 18 months after its October 7 2023 attack live or die.
