Major campaign aimed at boosting green investment in London to be launched

A MAJOR campaign aimed at boosting green investment across communities in London is being launched.

The £500,000 Opportunity London Project is backed and partially funded by London Mayor Sadiq Khan, cross-party group London Councils, which represents the capital’s 32 boroughs, and the City of London Corporation.

Set to formally launch later this year, the campaign will take the form of an annual programme of co-ordinated events and activities targeted at international investors.

A group of London ambassadors, including recognisable names from the sporting and cultural worlds, will become the faces of the campaign.

The ambassadors will be selected and appointed over the next few months and will come from all backgrounds, including property, with some drawn from supporter organisations.

Their mission will be to showcase London as one of the best places in the world to invest, particularly in regeneration and green infrastructure.

They will take the message to industry events in Britain and overseas led by the government, the London mayor and lord mayor, as well as hosting incoming delegations.
