Women’s football No FA Cup while Britain is in lockdown

THE FA has confirmed the Women’s FA Cup will remain suspended during the current lockdown in England.

Fixtures in the competition were halted earlier this month when the lockdown was announced by the government, as it was classified as “non-elite” at the stage it had reached.

That was the second round, with all but one tie still to be played. Teams from the Women’s Super League and Championship enter the competition in round four.
