SPEEDWAY: Sheffield came from behind to beat Premiership new-boys Birmingham after a super heat run-off on Monday night and picked up their first points of the season.

The defending champions were 10 points down after heat 10 and trailing by four before the last race when a maximum haul from Jack Holder and Tai Woffinden took them into extra-time.

Three-time World Champion Woffinden was the evening’s top-scorer with 15+1 points.
