British-trained far-right militia arrives on frontline in Donbass as Western aggression in Ukraine continues

A BRITISH-TRAINED, outlawed far-right Ukrainian militia arrived at the Donbass front line along with Polish mercenaries on Monday, according to intelligence reports, as Western aggression in Ukraine continues.

Two groups from the so-called Right Sector — a nationalist paramilitary organisation banned in the Ukranian city of Donetsk — have joined the 54th and 56th Brigade units in the northern and western approaches to the separatist region.

The nationalist militia was trained by British instructors before their deployment to Donbass, according to Donetsk People’s Republic Militia deputy commander, Eduard Basurin.

“The Ukrainian command is not merely reinforcing its group near the Donetsk People’s Republic capital; it is forming assault groups with ideologically motivated nationalists,” he said.

The military commander said that two units of Polish mercenaries had joined the 24th Mechanised Brigade in the Gorklova area.

“Their objective is to carry out pinpoint acts of terror and sabotage together with Ukrainian commando units, aimed at putting life-support facilities out of operation and intimidating the local population,” Mr Basurin said.

Western countries, led by the US and Nato, have flooded Ukraine with soldiers and 1,000 tonnes of arms, along with $1.5 billion (£1.1bn) in military aid.

According to leaders of the Donetsk People’s Republic, Ukraine has amassed some 120,000 soldiers along the contact line where drone attacks have also escalated in recent weeks, killing at least one separatist soldier.

Prime Minister Denis Pushilin visited his troops on the front line on Monday.

“They confirmed the massing of manpower on the Ukrainian side of the contact line,” he said.

They are set to be joined by at least 100 British special operations forces, Lugansk People’s Militia spokesman Ivan Filiponenko told a press briefing today.

“Despite the fact that the United Kingdom officially states that these servicemen are instructors and will train the Ukrainian army, our intelligence obtained verifiable information that the British special operations servicemen arrived as regular units and can perform reconnaissance and sabotage tasks,” he said.

No concrete evidence has been presented of an imminent Russian invasion, with claims that “Putin is set to invade Ukraine” prompting comparisons with Saddam Hussein’s supposed “weapons of mass destruction” that led to war with Iraq.
