GREECE: At least four Syrian Kurds were killed at a refugee camp on the island of Lesbos, eyewitnesses claimed on Saturday.

They alleged a group of Isis supporters attacked them with sticks and metal bars for not marking Ramadan before riot police arrived at the camp in Moria.

Another seven Kurds were injured and taken to hospital for treatment.

UNITED STATES: Sesame Street is suing the creators of a film with puppets that have sex, take drugs and commit murder.

The parent company of the long-running children’s television show say the makers of comedy film The Happytime Murders have “diluted and defiled” the programme by exploiting its brand.

The movie – in which puppets also swear and shoot each other  has the tag line “No Sesame. All Street.”

GERMANY: Fire engulfed Europe’s second largest theme park in the German town of Rust on Saturday as thousands of visitors were evacuated.

Smoke billowed hundreds of metres into the sky as a warehouse near the popular “Pirates of Batavia” attraction caught fire.

Police and emergency services said there were no deaths or injuries and that the blaze had been contained.

LIBYA: At least 15 people were killed as people-traffickers opened fire after migrants tried to flee captivity, an aid agency reported today.

Medecins Sans Frontieres said that around 100 people attempted to break out of a camp in northern Libya last week when they were shot at.

Dozens more, mostly women, were left behind while 25 received hospital treatment.
