PAKISTAN: A bomb planted in a parked motorcycle exploded near a police vehicle in north-west Pakistan, killing at least five people and wounding 20 others today, police said.

The explosion happened in Dera Ismail Khan, a city in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province bordering Afghanistan, police officer Gul Sher Khan said.

AUSTRALIA: Anthony Albanese will become the first Australian prime minister in seven years to visit China in recognition that bilateral relations have improved after crashing to unprecedented lows over trade and security differences that remain largely unresolved.
