TEENAGE popsters Solvision open tonight’s proceedings showing great potential — sweet vocal harmonies from the two female lead singers, some ace guitar licks, and all underpinned by slick grooves courtesy of a tight rhythm section. Their final track was a stand-out piece with a real club feel, driven by a killer bassline and pounding beat, on which an MC would not have been out of place. 

The Riot Jazz brass band have of course long since realised the electrifying power of a good MC, and have found a fine exponent of the art in Chunky. “Born to rock mics” as they say, Chunky has a natural and open rapport with the audience which is infectious, and has the gift of turning a gig into a party.
