Welsh rockers discuss absence of revolutionary politics
Leading figures on the Welsh music scene will gather today to discuss the growing disconnection of rock and “revolutionary” politics.
Datblygu manager Rhys Mwyn, who helped the band break ground in Welsh-language rock in the 1980s, is among speakers at the Cymdeithas yr Iaith Gymraeg (Welsh Language Society) debate.
“Welsh rock artists have been a lot more than ‘musicians.’ If it was just about music, the words wouldn’t matter,” she said.
