Unite Against Fascism praises 'precedent-setting' council leader as racist nazis are denied city-centre rally

Welsh anti-fascist activists celebrated a victory yesterday when a National Front “white pride” demonstration was cancelled.

The far-right group planned to gather in Swansea today in a repeat of a tiny rally they held in the city last year.

But they abandoned their plans after Swansea Council refused to allocate them a site near the city centre.
