DEVON-BASED duo Dave Harbottle and Freya Jonas have been performing together for 10 years with a body of work encompassing traditional songs and more recently a collaboration with Reg Meuross. This ninth album looks set to further cement their reputation as one of the most exciting acts on the folk scene today.

The momentum behind the album started to roll at the end of 2019 when they decided to release a cover song every week on social media. With the series and album title inspired by a song from Richard Thompson, the intention was to build a body of work paying tribute to artists they admire as well as new versions of traditional songs.

Then, returning from a tour of Germany in March 2020 lockdown occurred, to which they responded by recording two songs a week, which resulted in the uploading of 150 videos of new recordings.
