Campaigners call on PM to support immediate ceasefire in Russia-Ukraine war
Peace campaigners deliver a letter to Downing Street calling for an immediate ceasefire in the Russia-Ukraine war [Steve Eason]

PEACE organisations in Britain have called on the Prime Minister to support an immediate ceasefire in the Russia-Ukraine war and to stop arming Ukraine.

In a letter delivered to Downing Street this morning, the Campaign for Nuclear Disarmament (CND) and Stop the War Coalition (StWC) condemned Britain’s role in escalating the war between the two countries.

The two organisations warned Sir Keir Starmer of ever closer nuclear war and urged the PM and his government to end the supply of arms and instead seek an immediate ceasefire and peace negotiations between the two countries.
