Wood Festival 2022
Braziers Park, Wallingford, Oxfordshire
WOOD FESTIVAL is well established as one of the most family-friendly festivals in Britain and, broadly speaking, the music tends to fall into two main categories — folk-tinged Americana or Afro-dance fusion.
Representing the latter category are five-piece WEMA, at the heart of whose sound lies a combination of acoustic Tanzanian sounds and vocals with heavy electronics.
This set was their first ever live show after two years of online collaboration.
PETER MASON thrills to the sound of south London-born Yussef Dayes, and the galaxy of musicians drawn into his orbit
As part of the 2025 London Jazz Festival Rich Mix offered intriguing sessions titled 'Persian Jazz,' CHRIS SEARLE was there
NEIL GARDNER listens to a refreshingly varied setlist that charts Cabaret Voltaire's voyage from avant-garde experimentalists to techno pioneers
WILL STONE takes a ticket to indie disco heaven, but misses the rarely performed tunes
