AN INSPIRATIONAL film recording the testimonies of people involved in the miners’ strike against pit closures of 1984-85 will receive its premiere in Yorkshire on Friday.
Former striking miners, families, women against pit closures and others contributed to the film Our Miners’ Strike.
It was commissioned by the Orgreave Truth and Justice Campaign (OTJC) and will be launched at 7pm at the National Union of Mineworkers’ headquarters in Barnsley.
The public inquiry is the result of more than a decade of determined campaigning. Now, those who fought for justice want the full story of government involvement and police conduct to be told, says KATE FLANNERY
