EXTINCTION REBELLION have defied a police ban to blockade one of London’s arterial transport routes, alongside West Papua freedom activists and fashion designer Vivienne Westwood.

The ecological direct action group shut off Oxford Circus in central London early this morning in protest at the government’s apparent inaction over the climate catastrophe.
