Strike action called at Lincolnshire generator plant over 300 job losses

GENERATOR plant workers have massively backed a call for strike action in protest at management “failing to negotiate constructively” on plans to shed 300 jobs.

Unite announced that 93 per cent of its members at Cummins Generator Technologies in Stamford, Lincolnshire, had voted for strike action on a 91 per cent turnout.

The union, which represents more than 260 workers there, said it would be announcing strike dates soon.
