Le Marchand on fire as Orient enter first round
LEYTON ORIENT were yesterday drawn against Ipswich in the first round of the FA Cup, after thrashing Billericay Town 7-0.
After clinching promotion to the Women’s Premier League at the ground with an 8-0 win at the end of last season, it was another emphatic Brisbane Road scoreline for the Os who lead the table seven matches in to their first season in the WPL.
As top goalscorer Sophie le Marchand explained: “We’ve had a brilliant start. I think it took us a little bit of time to adjust to the new pace and strength of the league.
