Campaigners to protest winter fuel allowance cuts in Leeds
Campaigners take part in a protest against the Government's decision to scrap the winter fuel allowance for pensioners, outside the Houses of Parliament in Westminster, central London, October 7, 2024

CAMPAIGNERS will mount a “Rachel Reeves Robs Pensioners” protest in the chancellor’s Leeds West constituency tomorrow against cuts to the winter fuel allowance.

Unite Community, which is part of union Unite, is running a nationwide Unite4Energy for All campaign, demanding that the profiteering UK energy industry be nationalised.

The union is also calling for payment of the Winter Fuel Allowance to all pensioners to be restored — not just those who receive benefits.
